Elie Gamberg

Principal, KPF

Elie is a Design Principal with more than 22 years’ experience creating innovative designs for cities, institutions, and developers. Across a wide range of project types around the world, Elie’s work is consistently sensitive to a human scale, urban context, and sustainable practices.

His portfolio includes a wide range of typologies, from academic buildings to innovation districts and commercial real estate. Projects include One North Quay, Canary Wharf, which is set to become Europe’s largest commercial life science building. A ‘stacking’ arrangement enables all-electric operation, largely driven by a distributed MEP system. The high-performance façade has been designed to reduce both operational and embodied carbon.  Channelside is a mixed-use development in Boston which has developed a triple-layered façade for energy performance and occupant well-being as, well as incorporating public realm improvements that double as defenses against rising sea levels.

Based in London, but working on projects around the world, Elie has in-depth experience of meeting the aspirations and design codes of various cities, such as LL97 in New York, Stretch Energy Code in Boston, and Part L in London.
