Interiors Focus

This session explores how Transport for London’s property arm, Places for London, is using its Sustainable Development Framework (SDF) and new Sustainable Estate Framework (SEF) to drive sector best practice to secure measurable economic, environmental and social value while ensuring commercially feasibility. With increasing investment in its estate and a target to deliver 20,000 homes, Places for London is embedding ambitious sustainability standards across major developments including High Barnet and Bollo Lane, increasingly demonstrating global best practice standards including BREEAM Outstanding and Passivhaus.

Attendees will gain insight into how the framework’s have been developed and deployed with a comprehensive set of KPIs to drive outcomes such as vibrant communities, healthier environments, and stronger local economies.

The session will also examine how this works in practice through specific project examples; placing emphasis on responsible development and stewardship while enabling active travel, reducing living costs, and creating long-term social and environmental value.
