Incidental meetings are the backbone of live events. Every year, the companies who secure the most business have a meeting space where clients can find them.

We have made this as simple as possible; each meeting space has digitally printed walls produced and installed by our contractors CES (they need the artwork just three weeks in advance of opening), so clients can see at a glance what what they do.

Apart from this, they can choose carefully selected furniture from CES with screens if required, and they’re all set up.

Visitors included

  • Local authorities with regeneration and development opportunities to deliver
  • Funders increasingly investing in carbon reduction projects
  • Developers looking for expertise in sustainable building

Old Billingsgate is undoubtably the perfect location for our event, but it has very limited vehicle access. Our build-up and break-downs have to be managed scrupulously; a lot of organisation goes into every hour of operations. There is very little room for trucks to park and there’s a red route outside.

For this reason we have appointed Creative Event Services to manage the entire internal fit-out for us. They are the best we know of in the country, they are totally organised, helpful and friendly, and they are not expensive. It’s worth mentioning that FOOTPRINT+ does not mark up anything at all to do with the fit-out.

We do not have any ’space only' stands where exhibitors then organise their own builds, because we can’t control this and ultimately exhibitors, stand builders and FOOTPRINT+ will end up falling out. Not to mention huge parking fines.

  • 50% of all of the carbon emissions that we need to reduce as we get to 2050 have to come from the built environment. It’s from buildings, it’s from construction, it’s from logistics and it’s from infrastructure. So there’s no escaping the destiny here; it has to be the built environment that takes the lead here.”
