Whitby Wood is an engineering consultancy. We are independent, international and lateral-thinking.

We work on the engineering design of buildings and urban infrastructure, providing professional services for clients working in all sectors. Our advice is based on the application of low-carbon construction technologies, and we work hard to develop practical cost-effective design, for projects of all sizes.

Our work is based on in-depth knowledge of best practice — locally, nationally and internationally — and an openness to innovation. Working closely with like-minded colleagues in diverse engineering fields, we make sure we can see the whole technical challenge a project presents.

Key ingredients in our approach are regular evaluation of processes, willingness to embrace and develop new technologies and materials, digital skills, research-based decision-making, a strong sense of societal and environmental responsibility, and confidence in the abilities of our team members.
