The environmental impact of construction activity is not limited to carbon emissions. The embodied ecological impacts of materials have effects on our natural environment, its ecosystems and biodiversity, both positive and negative. This session will explore the caused by resource extraction, manufacturing, transportation and the disposal of unused materials. What are the ecological impacts of different materials worldwide and how might this influence our broader decision-making?
