Developed by the University of Manchester’s Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre, this concrete is significantly stronger and this allows designers to propose concrete mixes with lower cement content driving down the embodied carbon of one of construction’s most relied upon materials. With a presentation about the science behind the product, they will then explain the work being undertaken to overcome barriers to its widespread use.
