Defining Zero Carbon

07 Jun 2022
Stage 2
Zero Carbon Energy

In April 2019, the UK Green Building Council redefined Zero Carbon to account for both embodied and operational carbon in building projects, with the launch of their seminal Net Zero Carbon Buildings Framework Definition. Whilst the Framework Definition has built industry consensus on the steps required to achieving net zero carbon buildings, interest is now turning towards an industry approved verification standard.

This session will explore what zero carbon means in practice and considers how it can be achieved and the importance of a transparent verification process.
