By RIBA Stage 0, the greatest opportunities for positive impact have already been missed. The impact we make through design decisions alone is too small and too slow. Decarbonising the construction industry by 2050 requires every developer, client, contractor and consultant to think more broadly about their part in the bigger picture; reviewing portfolios, identifying opportunities beyond project boundaries and putting the circular economy at the centre of their strategy.

In this think tank, sustainability-focused engineers Elliott Wood will be joined by impact-led developers and contractors to explore the opportunities and challenges of addressing carbon reduction at portfolio level and share the necessary steps they are taking in what is considered the crucial decade for our industry.
