Part Z - Industry Calls for the Regulation of Embodied Carbon

07 Jun 2022
Stage 1
Efficient Buildings

Due to the significant contribution that the embodied carbon of buildings makes to the climate emergency, there is a need to introduce legislation towards mandatory reporting of carbon emissions in the built environment, along with limiting embodied carbon emissions on projects. This session will highlight the draft new Building Regulation: Part Z being proposed by different specialists across the whole range of disciplines within the property industry.

Supporters of the proposals include developers, contractors, architects, engineers, cost consultants and project managers to name a few. Hear from the people behind Part Z about how this vital legislation can gradually ensure we cut carbon emissions from this currently unregulated part of the property industry.
