Hazel Rounding
Hazel joined shedkm in 1998 and has led projects within a wide range of sectors both as an architect and director. She has considerable experience at driving forward deliverable solutions for large scale, multimillion pound, market-led commissions. Her specific skill is leading multi-disciplinary teams, creating master-planning solutions and working closely with the commercial and client teams from concept to occupation. Her strategic role and desire to arrive at high quality deliverable design solutions, with a ground up approach, has been applied to a variety of mixed-use schemes across our portfolio. She is a core member of the Placemaking Collective UK.
Alex Flint
Alex has delivered a number of key projects for the practice over the last 18 years. In 2014 Alex relocated to London to establish a new shedkm studio in the south-east, acquiring new staff and spearheading shedkm’s London portfolio as a Director of the practice. In addition to his in-depth knowledge of the OSM delivery and affordable housing sector, Alex continues to pioneer shedkm’s sustainable approach to office buildings of the future, including hybrid timber/steel, BREEAM excellent developments. Working closely with UK renowned structural and mechanical engineers, Alex looks to achieve the most environmentally friendly solutions for the workplaces of tomorrow.

Helen acted as a Lead Architect at final tender stage on the two landmark public buildings: The Dance Space and the University Library and Academic building. Helen’s current role as Masterplan Design Guardian is to ensure that the original vision set out at planning is achieved in terms of townscape design and working with stakeholders to ensure all end-user buildings are delivered as intended in respect of community use by utilising her contractor liaison and construction delivery abilities.
