Embodied carbon in internal partitions

Embodied carbon in internal partitions

Workplace Futures Group has commissioned an in-depth piece of research by Max Fordham to establish a more detailed understanding of the embodied carbon of internal acoustic partitions. As with all fit outs, their frequency means that they contribute a large percentage of the whole lifetime carbon of a commercial building. Exploring aspects such as the impact of transport emissions in different parts of the country and carbon factors in metal stud systems, the report shows that differences in the supply chain have significant impact in real world projects.

Workplace Futures Group COO Tim White explains: "Partitions are a big part of what we do. This research has enabled us to look at how we make decisions going forwards.”
