FOOTPRINT+: the national property event that will build a Zero Carbon future

FOOTPRINT+: the national property event that will build a Zero Carbon future
FOOTPRINT+ is an event that will allow every sector of the UK property industry to unite, discuss, and discover tangible methods of reducing carbon in real estate.

FOOTPRINT+ is an event that will allow every sector of the UK property industry to unite, discuss, and discover tangible methods of reducing carbon in real estate. In the wake of an underwhelming COP26, FOOTPRINT+ presents the crucial opportunity to get together and revolutionise the carbon problem as, in the words of Steve Edge, “now we have to do something serious about it.”

Over three days, The Lawns of the glorious Brighton seafront will be transformed into a meeting ground for developers, local authorities, housing associations, investors and the managers of large estates. “We couldn’t do it until now because we didn’t have the technology to make it work,” says Tim Pyne, one of the FOOTPRINT+ Founders. “Oil saw us through the Industrial Revolution and facilitated the move from Thomas Hardy to Steve Jobs, but this has come at price which we can’t afford. Before oil, the best we could manage was windmills, but technology has facilitated almost limitless new possibilities. That’s what FOOTPRINT+ is here to facilitate.”

Completing the trio of Founders are Emily Day and Sophie Law-Smith. With a lifetime of personal experience and passion for the industry, the organisers have handpicked champions of their respective fields to speak at FOOTPRINT+ about the newest, ground-breaking projects. The agenda has been divided into four tracks: Efficient Buildings, Retrofit and the Circular Economy, Financing the Revolution and Zero Carbon Energy. “You can come and hear how funding models are developing to ensure projects achieve the best outcomes in terms of carbon,” says Emily. “And how investors are driving requirements for retrofit and new build through their ESG investment policies.”

British Land, Grosvenor, Landsec, Bristol City Council, Oxford City Council, Trowers & Hamlins, Hermetica Black, Octopus Energy, CBRE Investment Management and many other leading companies will be represented by their top speakers over the three-day conference.

As well a world-class agenda, FOOTPRINT+ will offer a hive of opportunities for networking, complete with additional meeting spaces for attendees to get serious about carbon. Whether it’s exclusive evening drinks with Moda Living or Hilson Moran, Think Tanks from Elliott Wood, Atkins or WSP, Breakfast Briefings with Bond Bryan, ArcelorMittal or Whitby Wood or chatting to the Exhibitors in the purpose-built pavilions, FOOTPRINT+ is committed to catalysing the relationships required for a Net Zero future. What’s more? Hortus Loci will be supplying 1500 sunflowers and Atelier Ten, a beautiful sunflower tote bag, as participants leave FOOTPRINT+ and continue to grow towards the new age - of the sun.
