Q&A with Emily Mansfield, Calford Seadon

Q&A with Emily Mansfield, Calford Seadon

Why is it important that the UK’s property, planning and sustainability sectors come together at FOOTPRINT+?

It is important that we work collaboratively across the industry to allow us to keep moving forward. Sharing knowledge and project experiences, both successes and failures is crucial in achieving our sustainability goals. We believe that FOOTPRINT+ creates an opportunity for like-minded industry professionals to come together and discuss how we can continue to drive positive change in our respective industries.

What did you hear about / experience at our last year’s event which has made you want to come back?

Despite not attending last year’s event, we became aware of FOOTPRINT+ and the endless opportunities it provides. After further research, it became evident that this is an unmissable event, and attendance in 2024 would be the start of a long-lasting relationship.

When you attend FOOTPRINT+ in May 2024 what will you be sharing with conference delegates, policy makers, your partners, and your industry peers?

I will be sharing my recent experiences and challenges we have overcome in the Passivhaus design for a social housing scheme in London, the award-winning Hartopp and Lannoy Point project, and an EnerPHit project for an office building in Harwell. I hope that the information I share can be useful to my fellow professionals and can serve as a reference in their future projects.

What are you looking to get out of the FOOTPRINT+ event?

I look forward to connecting with other experts in the field of sustainability to exchange ideas, share experiences, and gather insights on the latest sustainable innovations and advancements. I also look forward to sharing a platform with individuals who have the common goal of fostering a sustainable future.
