Q&A with Neil Bradley, Innovation Director, Wates / SES Engineering Services
Why is it important that the UK’s property, planning and sustainability sectors come together at FOOTPRINT+?
The forum at FOOTPRINT+, is important for creating collaborative support for new and emerging challenges around energy, carbon and sustainability. As an example, when I attended last year, whilst there were plenty of examples of great Net Zero in Operation projects, the buzz was more around the challenge of reducing Embodied Carbon. The event raised the growing importance of this key performance requirement to deliver sustainable projects.
What did you hear about / experience at our last year’s event which has made you want to come back?
There were two main takeaways for me:
Learning + knowledge sharing - the presentations and round tables in particular were great.
The attendees – it almost felt like the MIPIM of the environmental and sustainability world. The opportunities to schedule catch ups and the end of day social networking events were really beneficial.
When you attend FOOTPRINT+ in May 2024 what will you be sharing with conference delegates, policy makers, your partners, and your industry peers?
We will be highlighting the important role that an engineering and technology contractor has on influencing and delivering low energy and sustainable buildings.
What are you looking to get out of the FOOTPRINT+ event?
Networking, opportunities for collaboration, new business and expert profiling.
