Why is it important that the UK’s property, planning and sustainability sectors come together at FOOTPRINT+?
It is crucial for the UK's property, planning, and sustainability sectors to converge at FOOTPRINT+ due to the paramount importance of collaboration in fostering a forward-thinking industry. By actively participating in sustainability initiatives, these sectors can play a pivotal role in driving positive change and collectively shaping the future landscape of the built environment. What did you hear about / experience at our last year’s event which has made you want to come back?
We wanted to return to FOOTPRINT+ this year due to the exceptionally positive atmosphere and feeling among the delegates, coupled with an in-depth exploration of technical intricacies we experienced last year. Our attendees said that they left with a wealth of newfound knowledge due to the valuable insights the event delivered. The event being new gave it the allure and an exciting atmosphere, marked by openness in discussing various topics and engaging discussions with fellow delegates, cemented our decision to return. Last year highlighted the event's ability to foster a rich learning environment and host meaningful exchanges, giving us great anticipation for a similar experience this year.
When you attend FOOTPRINT+ in May 2024 what will you be sharing with conference delegates, policy makers, your partners, and your industry peers?
Our aim for FOOTPRINT+ 2024 is to share our extensive experience and knowledge within the industry with conference delegates, policymakers, partners, and industry peers alike. We intend to showcase the pioneering initiatives we undertake, emphasising our commitment to pushing boundaries and embracing innovative practices. Additionally, we will highlight how we have successfully integrated the principles of FOOTPRINT+ into our work, with a particular focus on historic buildings.
What are you looking to get out of the FOOTPRINT+ event?
We aspire to share our industry knowledge, contributing to the collective understanding of best practices. We also look forward to learning new approaches and gaining fresh perspectives on this year's key themes, retrofit and zero-carbon energy, to enhance our methodologies. Improved exposure within the industry is a key objective, aiming to showcase our expertise and initiatives to a broader audience. Additionally, we anticipate connecting with like-minded individuals, fostering valuable relationships that can lead to collaboration and exchanging innovative ideas.
