David enjoys working on buildings with low carbon aspirations from both a design and in-use perspective. He takes a keen interest in the psychology and physiological aspect of building use and consequential perceived performance and evaluates this against design objectives.

David has a strong background in complex energy modelling and uses this experience to understand the dynamic performance of buildings and all the components that make them up.

A particular passion of David’s is the sustainability and conservation of historic buildings, with specific interest in local history and heritage in Scotland.
