Giuliana Huerta-Mercado is a Senior Policy and Projects Officer at the Greater London Authority’s Workforce Integration Network (WIN). She leads on the WIN Design Lab, a 10-month programme set up to support large businesses in London's key growth sectors – which includes the built environment.  This aims to tackle barriers Londoners from minority ethnic backgrounds face in the workplace and reduce skills gaps. She previously worked at the GLA supporting businesses to decarbonise their workplaces and upskill staff on energy management and carbon literacy. Giuliana also has experience delivering educational programmes to young people in Latin America, which helped to develop practical skills in STEM through her non-profit United Technologies for Kids (UTK). Giuliana has a background in public policy and economics.
