Joanna is the Senior Building Surveyor at GPE, a FTSE 250 Real Estate Investment Trust specialising in investment and development of property in central London

Joanna leads the delivery of projects to de-gas buildings, install clean heat systems, and upgrade building fabric to improve energy performance and EPC ratings. She works closely with the Technical Services team to implement low-carbon solutions that are technically robust and operationally viable. A key part of her role involves retrofitting existing, often fully occupied buildings—carefully managing projects around customers in situ while minimising disruption. Her work is central to GPE’s net zero carbon strategy, delivering complex upgrades that enhance efficiency, reduce emissions, and future-proof assets across the portfolio.
