Katherine Adams
Katherine Adams has over 20 years’ experience in sustainability, mostly in the construction sector. She has recently finished her PhD at Loughborough University, looking at how a circular economy can be embedded in the building sector. She has undertaken projects on topics such as embodied carbon, resource efficiency, circular economy, waste management at a product, building and organisational level. Examples of current and recent work include a comprehensive guide on embodied carbon for social housing, numerous pre-demolition audits and work for the European Commission on circularity indicators. She also supports the Alliance for Sustainable Buildings Products (ASBP) as Technical Director and works with Defra and the Green Construction Board Resources and Waste Group on ‘zero avoidable waste’ in the construction sector.
