Max Woodford
Max’s role is to lead many of the council’s primary place and economy shaping functions to create an inclusive and fair economy and an environment that is and positive about high quality sustainable development for all communities. This includes leading the development and delivery of the city’s economic strategy to deliver jobs and inclusive growth. He leads on the delivery of the city’s major regeneration projects. Delivery of these major projects acts as a regenerative catalyst encouraging further investment in the city to provide new business space and employment opportunities, new homes and community and leisure facilities. He creates the environment for a positive planning and building control service to flourish.
