Tom Harper has served as the Managing Director of Unusual Industries since early 2020, succeeding founder Alan Jacobi. With a strong academic foundation, Tom graduated with distinction from a Circular Economy MBA, where he conducted both qualitative and quantitative analysis on the circularity of the UK theatre industry in comparison to the global economy. Tom has long been passionate about circular and restorative economic models, placing a strong emphasis on understanding the "true cost" of material use.

Under Tom's leadership, Unusual Industries has continued to make strides in promoting circular economy principles. The company gained international recognition in 2018 when it was selected as a finalist for the World Economic Forum’s Circulars Awards, highlighting its commitment to regenerative economics.
