For visitors to London who want to stay overnight, our recommended hotel partner is the social business GOOD HOTEL who use an immaculately re-purposed 146 room floating platform fitted-out in Holland and towed across the North Sea on a submersible barge. The hotel is moored in the Victoria dock just 20 minutes away from FOOTPRINT+ using the Docklands Light Railway. GOOD HOTEL will be speaking at our conference at a talk on Social Value Businesses. In close collaboration with Newham Workplace and the Borough Council of Newham, the UK version of the Good Training was set up. In 2017 the program started, training approximately 60 local residents per year out of unemployment. The success rate continues to be over 70%.
